The challenge

Directing the works inside an icon worn down by the years: rusted rebar in the beams, walls out of plumb, damp and outdated services.

The idea

Delivering a renovation that lives up to its setting.

The result

A home conceived to enjoy every space, melting into the building that surrounds it.

La Muralla Roja: stepped red walls and planters
hallway with glass blocks and red tile floor
kitchen-diner with oval table and oak units
bedroom with full-length oak wardrobe
oak doors with circular cut-out handles
timber chair on pink tiles
narrow hallway with curtain and tiled step
red side table on tiled floor and bench
living area with blue bench and window onto Bofill’s red
shelving with lamp and books
bathroom with stone basin and window onto the red
metal mesh curtain and pink tiles
oak cupboards along the hallway
glass blocks and pink tiles
palm and the building’s pink walls
